Home Directory Info

We use a central home directory server that is properly backed up. The server also houses Astronomy-specific applications for all supported platforms.

Resources & Facilities

The Department has a large network of Mac/Leopard and x86/Linux computers to facilitate data reduction and vizualization projects. There two general use labs, a couple of Windows PC's, three black & white printers, and one color printer.

Astronomy Account Information

Accounts can be requested by standing faculty for current staff, faculty, and collaborators.

New User Form for department members to fill out.
Card Access Form for department members to fill out for room access
Wireless Guest Account Form for guest wireless access.
Email Info for new users.
Software used in the department.
Helpdesk staff can answer any other questions.
Policies users must adhere to on our network.

PSU Account Information

ITS offers many services to faculty, staff, and students. Your PSU account will allow you access to library, HR, and extra-departmental computing resources.

ITS Guide to Internet Services. This includes links for account information, new account form, dial-up numbers, and policy information.

Manage Your PSU account. Change your password, edit your Directory listing, etc.

Poster Printing

The dept does not have the equipment for large poster printing. There are 3 places that can accomodate poster printing at this time:
